Musa, Iwobi, Ighalo, Oshoala, Ordega, Ebi, Oparanozie, Ndidi, Rohr, Dennerby and Falcons up for CAF awards

Super Eagles headcoach, Gernot Rohr, four Super Eagles players, Super Falcons headcoach, Thomas Dennerby and four Super Falcons players have been nominated in different categories for awards by CAF.

Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo are up against current African player of the year, Mohammed Saleh in the african best category.

Back-to-back Leicester City young player of the year, Wilfred Ndidi was listed among the five players for the young player award.

Current Women’s African player of the year, Asisat Oshoala is joined by Super Falcons teammates, Francesca Ordega, Onome Ebi and Desire Oparanozie in her category.

The national team coaches, Gernot Rohr and Thomas Dennerby got nominated for awards in men and women coach of the year category.

The Super Falcons who are close to securing their 9th AWCON title are also nominated in the women’s team of the year.
