Musa reveals Sierra Leone Vs Nigeria result that will be ‘talk of the town’
Super Eagles of Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa has revealed the result of the Sierra Leone Vs Nigeria match that will be talk of the town.
Nigeria will travel to Monrovia for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification game vs Sierra Leone are condemned to win or miss a spot in Ivory Coast.
Turkey based Ahmed Musa is optimistic the Eagles can get a win, but is wary of a negative outcome that will see the Jose Peseiro tutored team face severe criticism.
Ahead of the teams trip to Liberia, Musa told the press; “We know that it is not going to be easy, maybe we win 10-0 it’s nothing new.
They’ll say definitely you can do it but when we lose against them, it will be talk of the town,”
“We know the importance so we have to do our best to win that game by God’s grace.” the skipper said.
Nigeria will seal a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations spot if they can avoid defeat vs Sierra Leone on Sunday June 18 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia.
In another news, Sierra Leone head coach John Keister has revealed his charges will target a win over the Super Eagles to keep their hopes of qualification alive.
As it stands, Guinea-Bissau sit top of group A with 10-points following their matchday five win over Sao Tome and Principe. Nigeria occupy second place with nine-points, four more than Sunday’s opponents Sierra Leone.
Despite his waning on-field presence , Ahmed Musa will lead the 23 invited Nigeria Super Eagles players to Monrovia for the game with another substitute appearance mooted.
