A second defeat for Rivers United FC, this time in the hand of a Promise Keepers team handled by their former assistant manager Fatai Osho means they are out of contention for the other group B Semi-final spot ahead of their clash vs Yobe Desert Stars FC.
In the other group B match of Monday July 10, Lobi Stars FC and Yobe Desert Stars FC shared the spoils following a 0-0 score in the clash of stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos.
As it stands, Akwa United FC are top of the group with six points. Lobi Stars FC are second with four points while Yobe Desert Stars FC are third with one point.
Rivers United FC are bottom of the standings in group B with no point.
