Napoli Reject Galatasaray’s Fourth Offer for Victor Osimhen Despite Agreement on Initial Terms

Napoli have turned down a fourth offer from Turkish giants Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, even though the club had agreed to all previously requested terms.

Sources close to the deal describe Napoli’s actions as “moving the goalposts”, after the Italian side reportedly brought in new demands relating to the second instalment of payments and a sell-on clause—despite Galatasaray earlier agreeing to pay €75 million in total, through structured payments.

Napoli are now asking for €40 million upfront, with €35 million to be paid by 2026, plus a sell-on clause. However, Galatasaray want to pay €35 million by 2027 and have refused to include a sell-on clause in the deal.

The sudden change has left Galatasaray frustrated, and the club is now internally debating whether to walk away from the deal or submit a fifth offer.

Despite the setback, talks between both clubs may still continue—but only if Napoli soften their latest demands.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen remains firm in his decision. He has reportedly told Napoli that he will not report for pre-season and is determined to leave the club this summer. The striker has also ruled out all other options, including a big-money move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, and is fully focused on joining Galatasaray.

This ongoing situation has created tension between Osimhen and Napoli, and unless both sides reach a compromise soon, the matter could escalate further.

For now, the transfer saga remains one of the most dramatic and uncertain stories of the summer window.
