Nathan Tella ready for important derby this weekend

Nigerian winger, Nathan Temitayo Tella is set for the Rhine derby as Bayer 04 Leverkusen face-off against F.C. Cologne in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Aged 24, Tella has been a versatile asset for Xabi Alonso’s squad, his pace and skills, contributing to the club’s successful campaign to date.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s showdown, Tella expressed his enthusiasm and the significance of the derby. “Yes, it is a very special game. As a team, we are all looking forward to playing against our rivals.

“It is going to be a good game. A good opportunity for us. We always want to make our supporters happy. It means a lot for us but also for them.

“We have given them a lot of good memories this season and we want to continue to do that,” the winger is quoted by Soccernet.

His contributions have been contributed to Leverkusen’s impressive unbeaten streak that stretches 33 matches across all competitions—a record-breaking achievement for any German team.
