NBA Announces Star-Studded Opening Night Tripleheader

The NBA has announced that it will open the 2026-27 season on October 20 with a tripleheader featuring some of the league’s biggest teams and stars.

The action will begin with the Boston Celtics visiting the Detroit Pistons, before Madison Square Garden will be for Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks.

The Knicks will also raise their championship banner while LeBron James and Jaylen Brown make their Philadelphia debuts. 

The night will finally finish with Oklahoma City Thunder visiting the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals.
