NBA Conference Semifinals: Nuggets take charge of Suns tie as 76ers secure Game 1 win

Denver Nuggets showed why they are the number one seed in the West by taking a 2-0 lead over Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns in their Conference semifinal clash. The Nuggets won Game 2 in Denver 97-87, with Nikola Jokic leading the scoring with 39 points and 16 rebounds. Aaron Gordon contributed 16 points for the Nuggets, as well. Devin Booker scored 35 points for the Suns and Durant scored 24 points in the game. The Suns must now find a way to win the next game or risk being swept.

In the most frequently seen playoff meeting, the Philadelphia 76ers took Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Boston Celtics 119-115. James Harden led the scoring with 45 points and Tyrese Maxey added 26 points as the Sixers were without Joel Embiid. Jayson Tatum scored 39 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics and Jaylen Brown scored 23 points in the game.
