NBA Playoffs: IT double-double helps Celtics overcome Wizards, set up ECF final clash against Cavs
The Boston Celtics booked their spot in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 115-105 win over the Washington Wizards in game seven on Monday.
Isaiah Thomas had a double-double of 29 points and 12 assists in the series decider at TD Garden.
Kelly Olynyk was a vital contributor with 26 points off the bench as the Celtics set up a meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It was Olynyk, who shot 10-of-14 from the field, taking over in the fourth quarter with 14 points as the Celtics reached the conference finals for the first time since 2012.

The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal (38 points) and John Wall, who finished with a double-double of 18 points and 11 assists.
But Wall was of eight-of-23 from the field and he finished poorly as Washington’s season came to an end.
Washington held a four-point lead with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter, but a 13-3 Celtics run proved crucial.
Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals is on Wednesday.
