Brunson Shines as Knicks Beat Pistons to Reach Second Round

Jalen Brunson scored 40 points to lead the New York Knicks to a 116–113 win over the Detroit Pistons in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference first round. With this result, the Knicks won the series 4–2 and advanced to the next round.
The Knicks started strong, scoring 37 points in the first quarter. Detroit fought back in the second quarter to take a 61–59 lead at half-time. However, New York responded with another 37-point effort in the third quarter to regain control.
Brunson was the star of the night, also recording 7 assists. Cade Cunningham led the Pistons with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Knicks.
Clippers Beat Nuggets to Force Game 7
Friday, May 2, 2025 – NBA Playoffs
The LA Clippers kept their playoff hopes alive with a 111–105 win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of their Western Conference first-round series. The series is now tied 3–3 and will be decided in Game 7.
James Harden was key for the Clippers, scoring 28 points with 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists, but the defending champions came up short.
The decisive Game 7 will be played in Denver.
