NBA Playoffs Monday Recap: Thunder advance, Nuggets stay alive, Magic take Control
Monday night in the NBA playoffs saw three games, with one team advancing and two others shifting their series.
The Oklahoma City Thunder moved into the next round after beating the Phoenix Suns 131-122 to complete a 4-0 series sweep. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 31 points as Oklahoma City closed out the series.
The Denver Nuggets kept their season alive with a 125-113 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5. Nikola Jokić recorded a triple-double with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 16 assists as Denver reduced the series deficit to 3-2.
In the Eastern Conference, the Orlando Magic beat the Detroit Pistons 94-88 to take a 3-1 lead in their series. Paolo Banchero led Orlando, while Cade Cunningham had 25 points for Detroit.
Monday night results mean Oklahoma City has now advanced to the next round, Denver has forced a Game 6, and Orlando is now one win away from progressing.
