NBA Recap: Celtics, Grizzlies win as Warriors overcome Bucks
Pacers, Clippers, Magic, Jazz also pick up wins
Boston Celtics kept abreast of the leaders in the Eastern Conference with a 134-125 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Jayson Tatum led the scoring with 34 points and 15 rebounds for the Celtics, and Jaylen Brown scored 24 points in the game. Trae Young recorded 35 points and 13 assists for the Hawks.
Golden State Warriors ended a poor run of form with an overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks. The reigning champions won the NBA clash 125-116 to improve to 35-33 in the league this season. Steph Curry led the scoring with 36 points and Klay Thompson scored 22 points for the Warriors. Khris Middleton scored 19 points for the Bucks, who were without Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Dallas Mavericks 112-108 to improve their record to 40-26 this season. Desmond Bane led the scoring with 25 points and David Roddy scored 24 points. Jeff Green scored 21 points and ten rebounds for the Mavericks, who were without both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Los Angeles Clippers claimed a 106-95 win over the New York Knicks in the NBA on Saturday. Kawhi Leonard led the scoring with 38 points and Paul George scored 22 points for the Clippers. Immanuel Quickley scored 26 points and ten rebounds for the Knicks.
Orlando Magic picked up a 126-114 OT win over the Miami Heat to improve to 28-40 this season. Wendell Carter Jr led the scoring with 27 points and 11 rebounds, and Paolo Banchero scored 17 points and ten rebounds. Jimmy Butler scored 38 points for the Heat in the game.
Indiana Pacers defeated the Detroit Pistons 121-115, with Jalen Smith leading the scoring with 20 points for the Pacers. Jordan Nwora contributed 11 points off the bench, too, and Isaiah Livers scored 18 points for the Pistons.
Utah Jazz claimed a 119-111 win over the Charlotte Hornets in their NBA meeting on Saturday. Talen Horton-Tucker led the scoring with 37 points and ten assists, with rookie Walker Kessler scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Jazz. Kelly Oubre Jr scored 24 points for the Hornets.
Sacramento Kings picked up a 128-119 win over the Phoenix Suns, who remain without the injured Kevin Durant. Harrison Barnes scored 19 points for the Kings and De’Aaron Fox managed 18 points for the Kings. Devin Booker scored 28 points for the Suns.
Chicago Bulls claimed a 119-111 win over the Houston Rockets in their NBA clash. Zach LaVine scored 36 points and DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points in the game. Jabari Smith Jr scored 20 points and ten rebounds in the game.
Oklahoma City Thunder won 110-96 against the New Orleans Pelicans. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points for the Thunder and Josh Giddey contributed 19 points. CJ McCollum scored 26 points in the game for the Pelicans.
