NBA Recap: Curry shines on debut as Nets end 11-game losing streak

Bulls, Nuggets, Clippers, Jazz all pick up wins

Seth Curry made his mark on his first appearance for the Brooklyn Nets since being involved in the trade for James Harden as he helped the Nets secure a 109-85 win at home to the Sacramento Kings.

The younger Curry provided a breath of fresh air as the Nets ended their 11-game losing run with a deserved win against the Kings. He recorded 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Nets in the encounter. LaMarcus Aldridge and Bruce Brown Jr also recorded 19 points apiece for the Nets.

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-104 in their NBA encounter. Terence Mann led the scoring for the Clippers with 25 points, as Reggie Jackson and Ivica Zubac contributed 19 and 18 points, respectively. Steph Curry led all scorers with 33 points in the game.

The Utah Jazz handed the Houston Rockets a 135-101 defeat in the NBA on Monday. Donovan Mitchell led the scoring in the game with 30 points, and Bojan Bogdanovic contributed 22 points for the Jazz in their win.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Orlando Magic 121-111. Nikola Jokic led the scoring with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Wendell Carter Jr and Franz Wagner scored a combined 51 points, but it was not enough for the Magic to win.

The Chicago Bulls defeated the San Antonio Spurs 120-109 in their clash. DeMar DeRozan led the scoring for the Bulls against his former side with 40 points, and Nikola Vucevic contributed 25 points and 16 rebounds in the win.

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 122-107 in their encounter on Monday. Anfernee Simons led the scoring with 31 points, and Josh Hart contributed 27 points. Jusuf Nurkic recorded 23 points and 16 assists in the game. For the Bucks, Jordan Nwora scored 17 points off the bench in 24 minutes.

The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Toronto Raptors 120-90. New Pelicans star CJ McCollum led the scoring with 23 points, and Jonas Valanciunas contributed 18 points in the game.

The Oklahoma City Thunder recorded a 127-123 OT win over the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden on Monday. Rookie Josh Giddey recorded a triple-double for the Thunder with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists in the game. Julius Randle also had a triple-double of his own for the Knicks with 30 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Washington Wizards recorded a 103-94 victory over the Detroit Pistons in their NBA match on Monday. Kyle Kuzma led the scoring with 23 points, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 16 points in the win.
