NBA Recap: Lakers defeat Nets as Warriors, Grizzlies fall to defeat
Nuggets, Sixers, Timberwolves all pick up wins
Los Angeles Lakers picked up only their third win in the NBA this season after a 116-103 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Anthony Davis led the scoring with 37 points and 18 rebounds for the Lakers as they improved to 3-10 in the NBA. Lonnie Walker IV scored 25 points for the team, as well. Kevin Durant scored 31 points for the Nets in the game.
Sacramento Kings claimed a hard-fought 122-115 win over the Golden State Warriors in their NBA clash on Sunday. Domantas Sabonis scored 26 points and 22 rebounds for the Kings, with De’Aaron Fox adding 22 points to the scoreboard. Steph Curry was limited to just 27 points for the Warriors in the game.
Denver Nuggets defeated the Chicago Bulls 126-103 with Michael Porter Jr leading the scoring with 31 points in the game. Jamal Murray scored 23 points for the Nuggets, and Zach LaVine scored 21 points in the game for the Bulls.
Joel Embiid took charge of the game as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Utah Jazz 105-98 to improve to 7-7 in the NBA. Embiid scored 59 points and 11 rebounds for the Sixers as Tyrese Maxey scored 18 points. Malik Beasley scored 18 points for the Jazz, as well.
Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-124 in their NBA clash on Sunday. D’Angelo Russell led the scoring for Minnesota with 30 points and 12 assists, while Karl-Anthony Towns scored 29 points and 13 rebounds. Darius Garland scored 51 points for the Cavs in the game.
Washington Wizards defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 102-92 in their encounter. Kristaps Porzingis led the scoring for the Wizards with 25 points and Deni Avdija contributed 21 points. Dillon Brooks scored 19 points for the Grizzlies.
