NBA Recap: LeBron James returns with triple-double as Lakers defeat Knicks, Suns bounce back

Bucks, Heat, Kings all win

LeBron James marked his return from injury with a triple-double to give the Los Angeles Lakers a 122-115 OT win over the New York Knicks and give them their second win in their last five games.

LeBron James missed the past five games for the Lakers with a swollen knee and in the period, the Lakers lost four of those games. The 37-year-old was on a remarkable run of 18 straight games with 25 points or more before his injury.

LeBron James contributed 29 points with 13 rebounds and 10 assists for the Lakers, and Malik Monk and Anthony Davis contributed 29 and 28 points, respectively.

RJ Barrett scored 36 points for the New York Knicks in the game, with Julius Randle contributing a further 32 points and 16 rebounds for the Knicks.

The Phoenix Suns bounced back from a defeat last time out to pick up a 95-80 win over the Washington Wizards. Deandre Ayton led the scoring for the Suns with 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Suns, and Chris Paul contributed 14 points for the Suns.

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Orlando Magic 135-115 in their NBA encounter on Saturday. Ja Morant led the scoring for the Grizzlies with 33 points in only three quarters on the court. Jaren Jackson Jr contributed 21 points for the Grizzlies, too.

The Miami Heat defeated the Charlotte Hornets 104-86 in their NBA clash. Bam Adebayo recorded a double-double for the Heat with 20 points and 12 rebounds in the game. Jimmy Butler led the scoring with 27 points for the Heat.

The Milwaukee Bucks picked up a 137-108 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in their encounter on Saturday. Bobby Portis led the scoring for the Bucks with 30 points as Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points in the game. D’Tigers star Jordan Nwora marked his return to the team with seven points, three rebounds and two assists off the bench.

The Sacramento Kings defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 113-103. Harrison Barnes contributed 24 points with nine rebounds and five assists in the game. D’Tigers star Chimezie Metu contributed nine points and seven rebounds in the game.
