NBA Recap: Orlando Magic defeat Suns as Celtics, Spurs win
Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, OKC all win
Orlando Magic picked up their fourth win of the NBA season after a 114-97 win over the Phoenix Suns in their clash on Friday. Wendell Carter Jr led the scoring for the Magic with 20 points and ten rebounds, as Bol Bol scored 13 points and 15 rebounds in the game. Cameron Payne scored 22 points for the Suns in the game.
Boston Celtics claimed a 131-112 win over the Denver Nuggets to improve to 9-3 in the NBA this season. Jayson Tatum led the scoring for the Celtics with 34 points and Jaylen Brown scored 25 points in the game. Nikola Jokic scored 29 points for the Nuggets.
New York Knicks defeated the Detroit Pistons 121-112 in their NBA encounter to improve to 6-6 this season in the league. RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson scored 30 and 26 points, respectively, for the Knicks. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 25 points for the Pistons.
Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Toronto Raptors 132-113 in their NBA clash on Friday. Eugene Omoruyi led the scoring for the Thunder with 22 points as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 20 points in the game. Chris Boucher scored 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors in the game.
San Antonio Spurs inflicted a second loss of the season on the Milwaukee Bucks, claiming a 111-93 win over the 2021 champions of the NBA. Keldon Johnson had 29 points in the game for the Spurs and Nigerian youngster Charles Bassey recorded five points, 14 rebounds and four assists in 18 minutes of action. Jordan Nwora had eight points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Bucks.
Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-103 in their NBA clash. Ja Morant led the scoring with 28 points and ten rebounds for Memphis, and Desmond Bane scored 24 points. Anthony Edwards scored 28 points for the Timberwolves.
Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-101 in their encounter on Friday. Steph Curry led the scoring for the reigning champions with 40 points as Andrew Wiggins contributed 20 points. Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points and ten rebounds for the Cavs in the game.
Los Angeles Lakers lost to Sacramento Kings to take their record for the season to 2-10 in the NBA. The Kings claimed a 120-114 win over the Lakers in their clash, with De’Aaron Fox scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. Chimezie Metu scored 10 points and five rebounds for the Kings in 16 minutes on the court. Anthony Davis scored 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers in the game.
