NBA Round Up: Klay drops 41 as Warriors stretch streak, Westbrook posts 41st triple-double of the season to equal record

The Golden State Warriors’ winning streak stretched to 12 as Russell Westbrook posted a record-equalling triple-double.

The Warriors’ stunning recent form continued in the NBA on Tuesday with a 121-107 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Westbrook guided the Oklahoma City Thunder to a win with his 41st triple-double of the season, tying him with Oscar Robertson’s mark set in 1961-62.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs had contrasting wins.

 

WARRIORS CONTINUE RUN

The Warriors’ run continued.

Klay Thompson had 41 points and Stephen Curry scored 19 to go with nine assists.

 

CLASSY WESTBROOK

Westbrook continued his incredible season with 12 points, 13 assists and 13 rebounds in the Thunder’s 110-79 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Enes Kanter had a team-high 17 points off the bench, but the day belonged to Westbrook – who strengthened his MVP credentials.

 

CAVS CRUISE, SPURS BATTLE

The Cavs’ big three delivered in a 122-102 win against the Orlando Magic.

LeBron James (18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists), Kevin Love (28 points and 11 rebounds) and Kyrie Irving (24 points and eight assists) starred.

The Spurs needed overtime against the Memphis Grizzlies, as Kawhi Leonard recorded a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds in a 95-89 victory.

 

INCREDIBLE CURRY

WIZARDS, PACERS WIN

The Washington Wizards beat the Charlotte Hornets 118-111 and the Indiana Pacers were too strong for the Toronto Raptors 108-90.

The Sacramento Kings had a 98-87 win against the Dallas Mavericks, the Brooklyn Nets thrashed the Philadelphia 76ers 141-118 and the Denver Nuggets edged the New Orleans Pelicans 134-131.

The New York Knicks overcame the Chicago Bulls 100-91 and the Utah Jazz beat the Portland Trail Blazers 106-87.

 

TOP SEED ON THE LINE

Holding 50-27 records atop the Eastern Conference, the Cavs and Boston Celtics do battle at TD Garden on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Westbrook looks to make the triple-double record his own with the Thunder at the Grizzlies.
