NBA Round-up: January 8th 2021

Teams in the Eastern and Western Conference of the NBA both had games on Friday, as the season began to heat up.

James Harden dropped 15 points with 5 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the Houston Rockets to a 132-90 defeat of Orlando Magic.

Stephen Curry was again on top as Golden State Warriors defeated the Clippers 115-105. Curry scored 38 points with 3 rebounds and 7 assists for his team.

LeBron James also had a fine day on the court, netting 28 points with 7 assists and 7 rebounds, to lead the Lakers to a 117-115 win over Chicago Bulls, for whom Zach LaVine also dropped 38 points.

Jerami Grant put up another good performance as he dropped 21 points with 10 rebounds and 2 assists to help Detroit Pistons to a 110-105 win over Phoenix Suns.

Donovan Mitchell helped Utah Jazz to a 131-118 win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks side, scoring 32 points with 5 rebounds and 7 assists.

Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder to win 101-89 against the New York Knicks by registering 25 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds.

Dillon Brooks was instrumental as Memphis Grizzlies picked up a 115-110 win over Brooklyn Nets. Brooks scored 24 points and 4 rebounds.

Gordon Hayward scored 26 points with 7 rebounds and 3 assists to help Charlotte Hornets win 118-110 over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Jayson Tatum helped Boston Celtics to a 116-107 win over the Washington Wizards with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

Fred VanVleets scored 34 points with 3 rebounds and 7 assists to help Toronto Raptors to win 144-123 over the Sacramento Kings.
