Nemanja Matic, Jose Mourinho reunion on the card as Chelsea and Manchester United agree on a fee

Manchester United have agreed a fee with Chelsea to bring Nemanja Matic to Old Trafford after agreeing personal terms with the player, reports claim.

The Red Devils have already brought in Victor Lindelof at the start of what’s expected to be a busy summer under Jose Mourinho as he looks to turn them into title contenders.

And he has turned to one of his trusted former players in order to offer the whole club a boost.

The Serbian midfielder is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge ahead of the impending arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko and is now set for a switch to Manchester.

He is set to earn £150,000-a-week and Mourinho views him as the long-term successor to Michael Carrick, according to the Daily Star.

The deal should also prove good news for Tottenham Hotspur fans as it will end Mourinho’s interest in Eric Dier.
