Nest of Champions practice pitch to host FC ONE Rockets Vs Ibom Youths FC NNL Pre-season friendly on Friday morning
The practice pitch of the Nest of Champions, Uyo will on Friday January 27, 2023 host a NNL pre-season friendly game between FC ONE Rockets and Ibom Youths FC.
Both teams are preparing for the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League – NNL season and will use the game to assess progress.
The 2022/2023 NNL season SportsRation reports will get underway in February in view of the May 2023 end of season deadline from the Nigeria Football Federation.

Two Akwa Ibom based teams playing in Nigeria’s second tier football league, FC ONE Rockets and Ibom Youths FC have met a couple of times in League and Pre-season tournaments/friendlies.
Ibom Youths FC have the best record in pre-season tournaments/friendlies, the last a victory over FC ONE Rockets on their way to winning the 2022 Akwa Ibom State FA Super four tournament.
FC ONE Rockets boast of a superior record from the two competitive meetings.
In the 2020/2021 season, FC ONE Rockets began the NNL campaign with a 1-1 away result vs Ibom Youths at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium.
The Rockets will better the first leg result with a 3-1 victory over Ibom Youths FC in the final game of that season.

Coach Ndubuisi Ndah of FC ONE Rockets and his Ibom Youths FC counterpart Emmanuel Ntuk will use the game as further test for trialists.
Both teams are rebuilding ahead of the new season and have recently been involved with screening of players.
In their last pre-season engagements, FC ONE Rockets and Ibom Youths FC faced Vandrezzer FC in separate friendly games.
First, FC ONE Rockets played a 1-1 draw vs the third Akwa Ibom based NNL club Vandrezzer FC at the practice pitch of the Nest of Champions Uyo on Friday January 20.
Ibom Youths FC on their part defeated Vandrezzer FC 0-1, trialist Idongesit Christopher curling home a second half free-kick to beat the Lions of Naija on their training ground in Use Abat Ibiono on Wednesday January 25.
Fans will be free to watch the friendly game which will kickstart an action packed weekend at the Nest of Champions, Uyo.
NPFL Clubs Dakkada FC and Akwa United FC will be involved in league games vs Rivers United FC and Plateau United FC on Saturday and Sunday respectively at the main bowl of the 35000 capacity sports complex.
