NFF lists conditions for successful 2023 AFCON appearance for Super Eagles
The Nigeria Football Federation – NFF has listed conditions that will make for a successful 2023 AFCON appearance for the Super Eagles.
Recall that the Jose Peseiro tutored Super Eagles defeated Sierra Leone on Sunday to book a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations spot .
This means, Nigeria’s flag will be flown when 24 African Nations gather in Ivory Coast for the biggest football event in the continent.
For the two-time African Champions to achieve success at the tournament, the NFF has listed Zeal, Cohesion and fierce dedications as attributes the team must imbibe.
This was contained in a communique at the end of the NFF Executive Committee meeting precised over by its President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau on Wednesday June 21, 2023.
The NFF Wrote ” Following the team’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals with a match to spare, with the 3-2 victory over the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in Monrovia on Sunday, 18th June 2023, the Board congratulated the Super Eagles for their performance, but charged the team to show more zeal, cohesion and fierce dedication to national cause that will guarantee such a great outing at the finals that Nigerians will be proud of. ”
Ivory Coast will host the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament which will kick-off in January 2024.
