NFF set to launch monthly awards

The Class of 1994 Super Eagles made a grand appearance at the second edition of the NFF Awards in 2019, marking a memorable moment in Nigerian football history.

However, with the previous NFF Award, which debuted in 2018, seemingly inactive, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has taken a significant step to revive the recognition of excellence in the sport.

On Monday, the NFF announced the imminent launch of a Football Awards program designed to honor the best players and coaches in Nigerian football on a monthly basis.

This initiative aims to celebrate and reward outstanding contributions within the Nigerian football landscape, fostering positive discussions both locally and internationally.

The NFF Awards will encompass seven categories in its initial format, highlighting the achievements of players and coaching staff across various aspects of the game. Beyond individual recognition, the awards also offer sponsorship opportunities, enabling companies and institutions to support the growth and sustainability of Nigerian football.

With a vision to showcase Nigerian football achievements globally, engage fans meaningfully, and maintain ongoing discussions about the sport, the NFF Awards project is poised to become a cornerstone program within the country’s footballing community.

The NFF anticipates that the awards, along with the vibrant discussions they will spark both online and offline, will play a crucial role in revitalizing the domestic leagues and garnering increased private sector interest in Nigerian football.

Additional information on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) monthly Awards, including categories, nomination procedures, and the official launch date, will be disclosed in the coming weeks.
