Maple Leafs See Off Senators to Win Series 4–2

The Toronto Maple Leafs advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 4–2 win over the Ottawa Senators in Game 6 at the Canadian Tire Centre.

William Nylander led the charge for Toronto, scoring twice and adding an assist. Max Pacioretty also had a strong outing with a goal and an assist, while Timothy Liljegren added a goal in the third period to seal the win.

Thomas Chabot had two assists for Ottawa, but it wasn’t enough to stop Toronto from taking the series 4–2.


Golden Knights Edge Wild to Move On

The Vegas Golden Knights booked their place in the next round with a 3–2 win over the Minnesota Wild in Game 6 of their Western Conference first-round clash.

Mark Stone scored and assisted, while Adin Hill made 29 saves with a .935 save percentage. Ryan Hartman scored both goals for Minnesota, but the defending champions held firm to close out the series 4–2.


Avalanche Force Game 7 with Big Win Over Stars

The Colorado Avalanche kept their season alive with a 7–4 victory over the Dallas Stars on Friday night, tying the series at 3–3.

Nathan MacKinnon scored his sixth goal of the series as Colorado exploded for four goals in the third period. Valeri Nichushkin scored twice, and Martin Nečas added a goal and an assist.

Roope Hintz was a bright spot for Dallas with two goals and two assists, but the Stars will now face a do-or-die Game 7.


Oilers Beat Kings to Advance to Second Round

The Edmonton Oilers defeated the LA Kings 6–4 in Game 6 to win the series 4–2 and move into the second round.

Connor Brown scored into an empty net to seal the win late in the third period. Zach Hyman and Darnell Nurse both recorded a goal and an assist. Drew Doughty assisted once for the Kings, but the Oilers’ offence proved too strong.

The Oilers will now prepare for the next round as they chase their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
