Niger Tornadoes Are 2019 Ogunjobi Gold Cup Champions
NNL side, Niger Tornadoes have been crowned champions of the 2019 Ogunjobi Gold Cup Tourney after a 2-1 defeat of Sunshine Stars on Saturday.
Tornadoes came from behind to edge the final at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin.
Waheed Adebayo puts Sunshine Stars ahead at the quarter hour mark but Tornadoes then got the lifeline in the 56th minutes when Segun Alebiosu jabbed home the equalizing goal from a low corner kick.
Alebiosu then got what would be the winner for the Ikon Allah Boys as he completed his brace via header off a set piece in the 72nd minute.
