Courtney Dike scored a hattrick and Ini Umotong added two goals to help Super Falcons trash UMF Selfoss 6-1 in their friendly match played at Pinatar Arena in Spain on Friday.
The African champions had to come from a goal down to power six goals past their opponents from Icelandic women league.
Reimus Magda put USM Selfoss in the 31st minutes of the game but Falcons pulled back in the 42nd minute through Uchenna Kanu.
At the start of the second half, Ini Umotong, Anan Imo, Courtney Dike, Rasheedat Ajibade, Ayinde were subbed on for Desire Oparanozie, Uchendu, Kanu, Rita Chikwelu, and Ogebe.
The substitution proved to an instant success as Courtney Dike fired Falcons ahead in the 57th minute after pouncing on a good ball from Ngozi Ebere.
Again another substitute, Ini Umotong increased Falcons tally to three with a fine strike off a good ball from Ogonna Chukwudi in the 62nd minute.
Ini Umotong completed her brace after smartly beating Selfoss’s defence and dribbling past the goalkeeper to slot home Falcons fourth in the 69th minute.
Courtney Dike got her brace in the 72nd minute after she scored from Rasheedat Ajibade fine pass.
Courtney Dike again was on target to complete her hattrick and Falcons sixth in the 76th minute after scoring from a good cross from Ngozi Okobi.
Up next for Nigeria is a clash against Canada Women National Team on the same stadium.
