‘ Nigeria National League matches may be on TV next season – NNL Board Chairman

The Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), George Aluo, has revealed that the league will be broadcast live on local TV stations starting next season.

Aluo, a former member of the NFF World Cup and Media Committee, made this announcement on a popular sports platform, Sports World, which is frequented by administrators.

According to him, the decision to provide conventional TV coverage and broadcast of the NNL matches is aimed at attracting more sponsors to the league.

“It is a gradual process. Now that we have started with ‘Global TV,’ it can only get better. Even the NPFL found it difficult to put the games on StarTimes, but now that we have started with Global TV, we have started from somewhere.

“I am sure that with what we are doing with them, it can only get better. Maybe by next season, Nigerians will begin to see more of the NNL games on television.”

The Nigeria National League is the second tier of league football and currently has 46 clubs battling for promotion to the first division.
