Nigeria placed in Group B for 2024 IHF Women’s Youth World Championship

Nigeria’s U-18 women’s handball team has been drawn into Group B for the upcoming IHF Women’s Youth World Championship, which will be held in Chuzhou, China.

This is as seen in the draw for the preliminary round which was made recently, outlining the competition’s initial matchups.

In Group B, Nigeria will contend with Croatia, Montenegro, and Angola, setting the stage for intense clashes and spirited performances. The tournament, scheduled to run from August 14 to 25, will feature a total of 114 matches, highlighting the global talent and passion for handball.

The composition of the groups for the 2024 IHF Women’s Youth World Championship is as follows:

Group A: Serbia, Sweden, Austria, Chile.

Group B: Croatia, Montenegro, Nigeria, Angola.

Group C: Japan, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Canada.

Group D: France, Brazil, India, Kosovo.

Group E: Denmark, People’s Republic of China, Chinese Taipei, Greenland.

Group F: Hungary, Norway, Argentina, Kazakhstan.

Group G: Egypt, Romania, Spain, Switzerland.

Group H: Germany, Czechia, Guinea, Iceland.
