Nigeria spank Australia 5-0 to reach World Deaf Football Championship knockout stage

Nigeria spanked Australia 5-0 in their final group game to book a spot in the World Deaf Football Championship knockout stage.

The Deaf Eagles had lost the first two group stage matches to Gabon and England but were ruthless in a 5-0 defeat of Australia to finish as one of the best losers.

Nigeria will now face Ukraine in the World Deaf Football Championship round of 16. The match will take place on Friday September 29, 2023 by 8:30pm.

The 4th World Deaf Football Championship kicked off in Malaysia on September 23 with the final match to take place on October 7, 2023.
