Nigeria U23 Coach Imama Blast NPFL Players & Coaches – They Don’t Understand Tactics & Formation
After watching his side beaten a 4-1 loss to Togo in a CHAN Qualifiers game, Nigeria’s U23 Coach Imama Amapakabo has blasted the Nigeria Professional Football League players and their coaches.
The former Rangers manager in an interview monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com on Brila FM lambasted his players on the day who were players from the Nigeria Professional Football League for not understand his tactics and formation.
By extension he blamed his colleagues who themselves dont know how to apply tactics and formations in games. As coach you can only give what you have.
‘It is a difficult thing for Nigerian players based in the Country, to interpret tactics and formation, with due respect even some of the Coaches in the league don’t understand tactics and formation, so how do you give what you don’t have,’ he told Brila FM in an interview.
The coach who also doubles as the assistant coach of the Super Eagles is however confident that his ward can overturn the 1-4 result suffered in the first leg in the second leg tie in Nigeria next month.
