Nigeria v Cameroon MvP Rasheedat Ajibade eyes La Decima with Super Falcons

Also in the race for the top scorer award

The Woman of the match of the game between Nigeria and Cameroon Rasheedat Ajibade is eyeing La Decima with the Super Falcons after the quarterfinal triumph on Thursday.

The Atletico Madrid attacker scored the only goal of the game as Nigeria beat Cameroon in the quarterfinal to book a place in the semis where Morocco is waiting.

Ajibade who has been in great form stepping up in the absence of star player Asisat Oshoala has said she and the girls deserve to be at the World Cup.

“Nigeria could not afford to be absent for this meeting,” said Ajibade to cafonline.

“There’s a new generation of Super Falcons, who arrive hungry and deserving for the world to see their talent.

“We know what we came here for, we want to leave with the cup, our decima.”

Rasheedat Ajibade is also in contention for the top scorer award after scoring three goals and assisting two goals for a total contribution of five goals in four games.

Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak also has three goals in four games.
