Nigeria v Seychelles line up: No local player on matchday squad; Onuachu starts from the bench as Rohr backs Ighalo for top scorer chase

Shanghai Shenhua striker Odion Ighalo will lead Nigeria vs Seychelles just as Gernot Rohr promised to back his star striker to finish the 2019 AFCON qualifiers as top scorer.

This means Midtjylland striker Paul Onuachu will make his debut from the bench if called upon in the cause of the game.

None of the local players made the matchday squad as Rohr stuck to his regulars.

Here is what Nigeria’s 4-3-3 formation against Seychelles look like

GK Francis Uzoho, RB Shehu Abdullahi, CB Kenneth Omeruo, CB William Troost-Ekong, LB Jamilu Collins, DMF Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo and Alex Iwobi in the midfield while Odion Ighalo who is joint top scorer with Burundi’s Fiston Abdul Razak will be flanked by Ahmed Musa and Henry Onyekuru up front.
