Nigerian-born star Chuba Ohams joins BAXI Manresa for 2024-25 Season
BAXI Manresa has announced the signing of 26-year-old American forward Chuba Ohams for the upcoming 2024-25 Liga Endesa season. Ohams, who also holds Nigerian citizenship, joins Manresa after a standout season with Seagulls in the Finnish Korisliiga.
Last season, Ohams made a significant impact in Finland, averaging 14.5 points per game (ppg), 10.4 rebounds per game (rpg)—ranking third in the league, 1.9 assists per game (apg), and 1.3 steals per game (spg). His performance was instrumental in Seagulls winning the cup and reaching the league final.
Ohams earned a spot on the Eurobasket.com Finnish Korisliiga All-Imports Team, received the League Player of the Week award four times, and was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Finnish Korisliiga First Team.
In the 2022-23 season, he played for Denain Voltaire in the French ProB league. Ohams, a graduate of Fordham University in 2022, was also recognized as the All-Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player of the Year and selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team during his college career.
