Nigerian Clubs Get August 15 CAF Squad Registration Deadline
Nigerian clubs taking part in the 2026/27 CAF inter-club competitions have been given August 15 as the deadline to submit their squad lists for the first preliminary round.
The deadline applies to all clubs competing in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, including Nigeria’s representatives Rangers International, Rivers United, Shooting Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors.
Rangers and Rivers United will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, while Shooting Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors will campaign in the Confederation Cup.
The clubs are expected to register all eligible players and submit their squad lists to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) before the deadline.
Failure to meet the deadline could affect the clubs’ participation in the opening round of Africa’s two major club competitions.
