Nigerian female footballer Princess Ademiluyi joins new club on-loan
Nigerian female footballer, born in England and attached to West Ham United Women, Princess Ademiluyi, has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the 2024/25 season.
The 18-year-old forward, who signed her first team contract with West Ham in March 2023, has made 17 appearances for the London-based side.
To further her development, West Ham have agreed to loan the Kent-born striker to Barclays Women’s Championship side, Charlton Athletic. The Addicks, who currently play in England’s second tier of women’s football, announced the signing with excitement.
“We are thrilled to announce the loan signing of Princess Ademiluyi from West Ham United ✍️ Congratulations, Princess ❤️” — Charlton Athletic Women (@CAFCWomen), July 20, 2024
Ademiluyi expressed her joy about the move on Charlton’s official website:
“I feel amazing, it’s the best birthday that I could have wished for. I am very excited to play in the Championship because it’s competitive and can help me find my form and grow into the player I want to be. Looking at the season the team had previously, they came so close to promotion. So I felt like I wanted to come here and help make that dream come true. I also believe that working under Karen will allow me to progress as a player.”
Born in Gravesend, Kent, England, Princess Ademiluyi is of Nigerian descent and is eligible to represent either the Super Falcons of Nigeria or the Lionesses of England. Her preferred national team remains unknown as she has yet to represent either nation at any level.
This loan move to Charlton Athletic represents a significant step in Ademiluyi’s career, providing her with an opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to Charlton’s push for promotion.
