Nigerian football star Mfon Udoh has shared an exciting moment from one of his recent trips, a surprise meeting with a world-famous tennis player at the airport.

Udoh, who plays as a forward for Brothers Union in the Bangladesh Premier League, posted pictures on social media showing him smiling and shaking hands with French tennis star Gaël Monfils.

In a joyful message, Udoh wrote:

On one of my recent journeys back home, I had the absolute pleasure of running into one of my all-time favourite tennis players at the airport. In that brief moment, I got to express how much joy and excitement his matches have brought me over the years—and how much I’m looking forward to watching more of his brilliance on the court.”

He added, “It was a surreal and unforgettable encounter—one of those rare moments where admiration meets reality. Grateful for the experience and the inspiration that came with it. ✨”

Udoh also encouraged his fans to guess the player by writing, “Mention his name in the comment section if you know this player ” with hashtags like #TennisLegend and #UnforgettableMoment.

Some fans could not recognise Gaël Monfils, known for his energetic style and crowd-pleasing tennis. Monfils, a former world No. 6, has reached the semi-finals of both the French Open and US Open, and has 13 ATP titles to his name.
