Nigerian footballer tragically passses away during football match

Tragedy struck during a football match as Nigerian footballer identified as Olofin Moses, collapsed and tragically passed away.

As first reported by thequesttimes.com, the sad incident involving Olofin Moses occured while he was representing Jordan FC Ogbomoso in a match against Day Bright FC in Oyo State, Nigeria.

Eyewitnesses recounted the shocking incident during the Coaches Cup competition, where Moses collapsed suddenly without any apparent contact with the ball or other players. Despite immediate efforts to revive him, Moses could not be resuscitated.

Upon arrival at Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECHTH), Moses was pronounced dead.

In response to the devastating news, Alhaji Bashiru Abdulazeez, Chairman of NFCA Ogbomoso Council, announced the suspension of all football activities in the town until further notice.

He stated, “Coaches Cup has been suspended, and no training activities in all our clubs until Wednesday, 28th February, to mourn the departed soul.”

Coach Ayoola Ayantoye David, also known as FÉHLÉ, expressed shock and grief over Moses’ sudden passing. He emphasized that Moses appeared healthy and jovial before the match and described him as a committed and supportive player. David highlighted Moses’ financial contributions and encouragement to the team.

Lamenting the loss, David said, “This is the first time I am experiencing such, and it is painful, but God knows better. I pray Almighty God to continue to comfort us, his family, and the team at large.”
