Nigerians Abroad: Ighalo, Igboun, Nwakaeme, Musa & Aluko on target, Mikel, Chukwueze star

It was a good weekend for Nigerian players plying their trades abroad as they were on target for their respective clubs.

In fact, Ahmed Musa scored two goals after games without one, Odion Ighalo, Anthony Nwakaeme continued their goal scoring forms.

Ahmed Musa (Al Nassr)

Ahmed Musa scored twice in Al Nassr 5-0 win against Al-Fateh in Saudi topflight league. Ahmed Musa scored the first and the last goal as his side continue their push for the title.

The goals was Ahmed Musa first since November last year. He has scored a league total of 8 goals in 22 games.

Odion Ighalo (Shanghai Shenhua)

Odion Ighalo was again the man as he scored his sides goal in their 1-1 draw against Wuhan Zall. With his 6th league goal of the season, Ighalo drew his side level after they went down in the Chinese Super League clash on Sunday.

Odion Ighalo sits comfortably at the top of Chinese Super League too scorers chat with 6 goals.

Sylvester Igboun (FC Ufa)

Sly scored his scored his sides only goal in FC Ufa 2-1 home loss to Arsenal Tula.

Sly has scored seven league goals in 21 games in the Russian top league, he must continue to bang in goals to help relegation threatened Ufa from going down.

Sone Aluko (Beijing Renhe)

The former Fulham left winger scored his first goal in China to help Beijing Renhe draw 2-2 at home with Shenzhen FC in a Chinese Super League game. This was coming in his sixth appearance in the league.

Mikel Obi (Middlesbrough)

Mikel Obi helped his side secure their third consecutive win with a 1-0!victory against Etebo’s Stoke City.

After losing six straight games, Middlesbrough have won all three games they played when Mikel Obi was the captain.

Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal)

Samuel Chukwueze was a serious danger to Kenneth Omeruo and his Leganes teammates in Villarreal’s 2-1 home win against capital club.

Every time Chukwueze had the ball, he was constantly checked by two or three players. His skill, pace and technique was too much for Leganes to handle.

He scored a goal but was ruled out for Offside.

The Chelsea loanee was unable to stop the goals that his side conceded but helped taming Samuel Chukwueze and Co sometimes.

He made timely clearances and blocks but couldn’t stop the goals when they came in.
