Simeone Nwankwo continued his scoring form while the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi, Paul Onuachu started from the bench; Mikel Obi and Middlesbrough continue their downward slide.

Sportsration gives a recap of how Nigerian stars faired on Saturday.

Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City)

Wilfred Ndidi was on the pitch the entire game as Leicester City pip Bournemouth 2-0.

While Wilfred Ndidi started and finished the game, Kelechi Iheanacho was on for just 2 minutes after coming in for Jamie Vardy in the last minutes of the game.

John Mikel Obi (Middlesbrough)

Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi was on for Middlesbrough in their 1-0 home loss to Norwich City. He could only pick a yellow card in the match as Boro suffered their fourth consecutive defeats.

William Troost-Ekong (Udinese)

Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong was in action the entire time as Udinese beat Genoa 2-0 on Saturday.

Despite playing in games for Super Eagles against Seychelles and Egypt, William Troost-Ekong put in a show at Dacia Arena.

Semi Ajayi (Rotherham)

Semi Ajayi was helpless as he could only watch his side get beat 6-1 by Frank Lampard’s Derby County.

Simeone Nwankwo (Crotone)

The forgotten Super Eagles striker scored two goals as Crotone beat Carpi at Stadio Sandro Cabassi on Saturday.

Afeez Aremu (IK Start)

Afeez Aremu was on the pitch Sparebanken Sor Arena as IK Start were beaten 1-0 by Aalesund in their Norwegian league 2 game on Saturday.

Afeez Aremu was on the pitch as the relegated IK Start start their journey in the division two.

Taiwo Awoniyi (Royal Excel Mouscron)

Taiwo Awoniyi could only play for few minutes as he played from the bench in Royal Excel Mouscron 3-1 away loss to Kortrijk in their Belgian Europa League playoff clash.

Paul Onuachu (Midtjylland)

Paul Onuachu played from the bench but failed to inspire as Midtjylland threw away their chance of going to the top in the Danish Supaliga table as they were forced to a goalless draw at home by Nordsjælland on Saturday.
