Nigeria’s Moses Simon Joins Paris FC from Nantes

Nigeria international winger Moses Simon has joined Paris FC from French club Nantes, the Ligue 1 newcomers announced on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Paris FC as they get ready for their first season in the French top flight since 1978–79.

Paris FC recently gained promotion to Ligue 1 after being taken over by the Arnault family and Red Bull, the Austrian energy drink company. Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp now works as Red Bull’s global head of football.

Simon spent six seasons at Nantes, where he scored 37 goals in 201 appearances. The transfer fee for his move to Paris FC was not made public.

“Moses was one of our top targets, and he showed strong interest in our project, even though many other clubs wanted him,” said Paris FC’s sporting director, François Ferracci.

Simon’s move adds experience and attacking strength to Paris FC as they aim to compete at the highest level of French football.
