D’Tigers move nine places in FIBA ranking, now 16th in the world

Nigeria men Basketball team have moved nine places in the new FIBA Ranking thanks to their recent performances at the Rio Olympics.

The Nigerian men’s team would have become the first African team to make it to the knock-out stages at an Olympic Basketball event but lost narrowly to Brazil in their final game having defeated European power house Croatia to give themselves a lifeline.

The current ranking means Nigeria are top in Africa zone, and 16th in the world.
