NLO: Sir Monty Fc End March On A High With 1-0 Win Over Hope Of Glory Fc
Striker Peter Obinna scored the only goal as Akwa Ibom based Sir Monty Football Club defeated Hope Of Glory Fc of Calabar 1-0 in one of the 2021/2022 Nigerian Nationwide League One matches.
The match which took place at the Training Pitch of the Godswill Akpabio international stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on Thursday 31st March 2022 saw Sir Monty Fc bagging it’s fourth points of the season to end March 2022 on a high at the expense of Hope Of Glory Fc .
After consecutive away fixtures, the first a 1-1 draw in Calabar vs Leopards Fc followed by a 2-0 defeat in the hands of J Atete Jnr’s , Sir Monty Fc returned home to play it’s first ever home match.
Watched on by a Cheering crowd of supporters, Peter Obinna’s first half Strike from 18 yards handed Sir Monty Fc it’s first win of the season. The newly established team now has 4 points from three Matches to occupy second spot in Group D1 of the 2021/2022 NLO Season.
