On Thursday July 13, three matches were scheduled to take place at the Uyo Township Stadium, venue for the center hosting group G teams.
OLEGACY FC 0-4 Palm Syrup FC
The opening game at the Uyo center of the NLO Youth League kicked off by 12-noon on Thursday July 13.
Olegacy FC of Akwa Ibom were completely overwhelmed 0-4 by neighbors Palm Syrup FC.
Christian Otu opened the floodgate of goals in the 6th minute of the match. Ekemini Ime added a second in the 40th minute to hand Palm Syrup FC a healthy 0-2 halftime lead.
Kemfon Davidson and Endurance Slyvester added further strikes in the closing quater to seal a 0-4 win for Palm Syrup FC at the Uyo Township Stadium.
VANDREZZER STARLET FC VS KRANE FC (ON HOLD)
Vandrezzer Starlet FC and Krane FC took to the turf for the 2pm game.
A licence related issue caused the match to be put on hold to be played on a date to be decided by the Nationwide League board, organizers of the NLO Youth League.
FRESH TALENT FC 0-6 ALGON BOYS FC
ALGON BOYS FC whitewashed Fresh Talent FC 6-0 in the last game of day one at the Uyo center of the NLO Youth League.
Coach Ubong Sunday tutored ALGON Boys FC were just too hot to handle for their Fresh Talents FC and so we’re hapless as the opposition chipped in goals for fun.
Goals from Samuel Jackson (2), Nkwocha Macdonald, Israel Victor, Peter Peter and Victor Abraham handed ALGON Boys FC a morale boosting opening day win over Fresh Talents FC.
Action continues at the Uyo Township Stadium on Friday July 14 with four games billed for 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm respectively.
