NNL Chairman George Aluo Says Referees and Matches Under Close Watch
Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), George Aluo, has said that they are keeping a close eye on matches and referees as the season enters its final round of games.
Aluo also mentioned that clubs are working well with the league body to ensure the season ends successfully.
“We are closely monitoring the games and making sure the referees do the right thing,” Aluo told DAILY POST.
“The clubs are cooperating too, because they now educate their fans that the days of winning at all costs at home are over.”
At the moment, Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat FC, Wikki Tourists, and Doma United are top of the four different groups.
Two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eight playoff tournament.
The winner of the playoff will be crowned champion of the 2025 NNL season, while four teams will earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
