NNL: FC ONE Rockets confirm Eket Stadium as home ground, to face Next Generation in Pre-season friendly on Friday

Nigeria National League club FC ONE Rockets have confirmed the 18,000 capacity Eket Stadium will serve as it’s home ground for the 2022/2023 season.

Last season, FC ONE Rockets played it’s home games at the Practice pitch of the Nest of Champions Uyo.

The Rockets will have their first taste of action at the Eket Stadium when they take on Next Generation FC of Yenegoa in a friendly encounter on Friday February 3, 2023.

Kick-off for the pre-season friendly game is 4pm.

FC ONE Rockets Head Coach Ndubuisi Ndah will use the game to further preparation for the upcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

In a bid to raise a formidable squad for the 2022/2023 season, the Indomitables have been training since December 2022 in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital.

With the NNL season proposed to kick-off later this month, FC ONE Rockets have engaged in friendly games, the last two vs fellow NNL campaigners Vandrezzer FC and Ibom Youths FC.

A 1-1 draw vs Vandrezzer FC was followed by a 2-1 win over Ibom Youth FC at the Practice pitch of the Nest of Champions Uyo.

For it’s maiden game at the Eket Stadium, General Manager of FC ONE Rocket, Mr Ubong Essien, has called on lovers of football – in and around Eket – to turn out and witness good football at the Eket Stadium tomorrow for free.

Football lovers in the oil-rich city of Eket and it’s environs will cheer at news of another game at the new stadium on the heels of Sunday’s thrilling NPFL Matchday four action between Akwa United FC and Plateau United FC.
