NNL inspection team visit Samson Siasia Stadium

The Refurbished Pitch of the Samson Siasai Stadium in Yenagoa has come under scrutiny by the inspection team of the Nigeria National League (NNL). The inspection of the Stadium which is still undergoing a major Renovation work by Sports Facility Construction Expert Monimichelle is in keeping with the tradition of Certifying every venue ahead of the kick off of the League.

The Leader of the inspection team, Chidi Offor was highly impressed with the quality of work done at the Stadium that he wished that Bayelsa United matches could be on television for all Nigerians to see. The Enugu State FA Chairman was also impressed by the drainage system at the Stadium which coincidentally had a friendly match on when they arrived for the inspection.

He however noted that the biggest drawback at the Stadium was the lack of public toilet for use during League matches. He therefore called on the State government to expedite action in making the public toilet available before the commencement of the Nigeria National League Season.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction Ltd Mr Ebi Egbe who alongside the Vice Chairman of the State Football Association Mr Julius Laye, Secretary, Desieye Nwankwe, Chairman of Bayelsa United, Mr Tony Ogola and Club Secretary, Braveman Wodi assured the inspection team that action will be taken to address the issue of the Public toilet.

Mr Chidi Offor also used the occasion to thank Governor Henry Seriake Dickson for investing so much fund in providing such a world class facility. But he advised that proper maintenance should be carried out on the pitch.
