#NNLSuper8: Insurance, Remo Stars win big on day 1
Remo Stars and Insurance were the biggest winners on day of the NNL Super 8 as clubs vye to gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Goals from Edoka Owoicho, Awoyemi Abiodun, and Olufemi Oladapo in the 34th, 75th and 85th minutes helped Remo Stars outshine Shooting Stars in the battle of the stars.
With the same goal margin, Insurance were the winners against Delta Force. Charles Omokaro, Michael Enaua, and Emmanuel Nwangboje in the 12th, 15th and 69th minutes were the scorers.
A late goal from Daniel George helped Real Stars force Kada City to a 2-2 draw.
Emmanuel Kelvin put Real Stars in front in the 21st minute but Kabiru Sanusi equalized for Kada City in the 47th minute.
Jamiu Coker gave Kada City the lead in the 64th minite but with the game heading Kada’s way, Daniel George’s 93rd minutes strike denied them the maximum points.
Joseph Onoja scored for Gombe United in the 2nd minute of the game while Enesi Ibrahim drew Kogi United level in the 62nd minute to ensure a 1-1 draw in the tie.
