No Alisson Becker as FIFA announces 10 for 2019 Best Player award
Liverpool and Brazil goalkeeper has been omitted from the list of the nominees for the 2019 FIFA Best player of the year award.
The former Roma goalie who was instrumental to Liverpool’s champions league run and Brazil Copa America success was not considered good enough in the final ten nominees.
He became the first goalie to win the golden gloves in three of the major tournaments he competed in when he won the awards in the Premier League, Champions League and Copa America.
Three Liverpool players were shortlisted, former Chelsea, now Madrid player, Eden Hazard made the cut and the usual suspects; Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were also in the mix.
