NPFL Matchday 6 Preview

Matchday 6 of the 2020/21 NPFL season is billed to hold between Saturday January 24th and Wednesday 27th at various centres in the country.

In Saturday’s only fixture, Katsina United play host to Plateau United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina. The game will be televised live on NTA and the app from 7pm.

Sunday’s fixtures are to hold simultaneously at 4pm.

Heartland would look to escape the relegation battle when they host Akwa United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri

Bottom of the table Abia Warriors play their first game in their new home when they host the Church Boys, MFM FC at the Okigwe Township Stadium as they look to turn their season around.

Buoyed by their midweek win over Enyimba, Kwara United now set their sights on the downfall of FC Ifeanyi Ubah who pay them a visit at the Kwara State Sports complex.

Enugu Rangers would be looking to get one over high-flying Lobi Stars when they visit them in Enugu on Sunday. Both sides have 10 points from 5 matches.

The Seasiders, Warri Wolves will welcome second placed Nasarawa United, the league’s only unbeaten side to their Ozoro Poly Stadium hoping to knock the stuffing out of the boys from Lafia.

Surprise package Dakkada FC host the Akure Gunners, Sunshine Stars at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.

On Monday January 25th, two fixtures are scheduled to be played and both will be televised live on NTA and the app. First, at 2:30pm, Adamawa United welcome Enyimba to their adopted home, the Pantami Stadium in Gombe hoping to capitalise on Enyimba’s loss last time out and end their miserable run of form in the league.

Wikki Tourist also play on Monday, the Bauchi-based side host Jigawa Golden Stars, who have won just one NPFL away fixture in the last 12 years. The game is set to kick off by 5pm.

As a result of their continental commitment, table-topping Rivers United play their crunch away fixture against Kano Pillars on Wednesday. The game is set to be televised live on NTA and the app from 4pm on Wednesday.
