The People’s Elephant moved to second place in the league standings with 59 points following their impressive comeback victory. Rivers United initially took the lead in the 14th minute through Andy Okpe, but Enyimba responded with two braces from Chijioke Mbaoma and Elijah Akanni, sealing a comprehensive 4-1 win. This victory closes the gap to league leaders Enugu Rangers to just two points.
