Renowned MMA fighter of Nigerian heritage, Israel Adesanya once again showcased his unique style by sporting Enyimba’s traditional away jersey during a recent training session.
Adesanya, popularly known as the ‘Style Bender’ for his fighting technique, proudly displayed the iconic black strip of thereigning Nigeria Premier Fotball League champions, Enyimba FC.
The 34-year-old who hails from Nigeria but represents New Zealand professionally, shared images on his Instagram account donning the People’s Elephant’s famed black kit.
Alongside the photos, Adesanya captioned, “Soaring to new heights…pray you keep up the pace,” highlighting his connection to Nigerian culture and football.
Adesanya’s choice to wear Enyimba’s jersey is just the latest example of his efforts to embrace his Nigerian roots and support domestic football.
Under the guidance of new Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, Enyimba clinched the NPFL title in the previous season.
