Fantastic winger Nsikak Moses has shared his joy and gratitude after playing a crucial role in helping Godswill Akpabio United FC avoid relegation from the Nigeria National League (NNL) in their debut season.
Moses, who joined the Uyo-based side midway through the campaign from Dakkada FC, made an immediate impact, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the second half of the season. His standout performances came at a critical time, as Godswill Akpabio United FC faced a tense relegation battle in the closing stages of the season.
The former Ibom Youths FC star scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Abakaliki FC in their penultimate home fixture, and followed it up with another vital contribution on the final day, netting one of the goals in a commanding 3-0 win over Gateway United. The victory, witnessed live at the Uyo Township Stadium by the club’s CEO, Dr. Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, confirmed the club’s safety and secured a 7th-place finish in Group B2 with 24 points from 20 matches.
Taking to his social media on Monday, June 16, two days after the final match, Moses posted a heartfelt message alongside a photo of himself with Dr. Akpabio, writing:

In a follow-up post, the forward wrote:

In an exclusive interview with SportsRation, Moses reflected on his contribution, saying:
“Awesome. Specially because I came mid-season and there was need for me to deliver and I thank God I did.”
